Drain Ace was called out to unblock a sink on Tilt Road, Cobham. No water was flowing away from the sink. The first job was to check the trap under the sink to see if that was blocked. As it turned out, it was clear. This is the first place to check if your sink is blocked. I used my Rigid K9-102 Flex-shaft to send down the blocked sink drain. The obstruction was found at an elbow 2 meters downstream of the trap. The Flex-shaft broke down the hardened grease that had caused the blockage clearing the pipe. Drain Ace re-connected the trap and ran the taps to demonstrate that the blocked sink was now cleared. Another happy customer who gave a 5 star review.

Blocked toilet on Leigh Hill Road

Drain Ace was called out to unblock a toilet on the first floor. The first port of call was to try to unblock the toilet with a plunger which failed. So I then fed down the Rigid See Snake Drain Camera into the toilet, round the u-bend only to discover the cause of the blocked toilet being a Lego car. With the camera down, Drain Ace used a Flexi-retrieval tool to grab the Lego car and to remove in from the drain. Once this was done the blocked toilet was cleared and back in full operation. The customer was a very relieved mother. Another success story for Drain Ace.

Blocked gulley in Eaton Park Road, Cobham

Drain Ace was called out to a blocked gulley in the back yard which are normally quite easy to unblock by plunging. However this one turned out to be a substantial fat-berg blockage. Plunging the gulley did not work so Drain Ace used a high pressure lance to break up the fat berg and clean the grease from  the drain walls restoring full flow in the drain. This happy customer now knows not to pour grease down the sink.

Drain Ace inspected the manhole, which was clear, indicating that the obstruction was further upstream. A CCTV drain camera was fed into the manhole and up the blocked branch to discover a collapsed drainpipe just after the rest bend. Drain Ace then dug up and exposed the damaged drain. A quick trip to the plumbing merchant and the repair was made with new connections. Before leaving the job a further inspection was carried out using the CCTV drain camera to ensure the internal connections were sound. All in a day’s work for Drain Ace.

Blocked toilet on Portsmouth Road, Cobham

Drain Ace was called out to a blocked toilet on Portsmouth Road, Cobham. Blocked toilets can either be very easy or a nightmare, this one was a nightmare! The toilet in question had been recently installed by a plumber but within a few days it had started backing up. Drain Ace removed the toilet and inserted the CCTV drain camera down the waste pipe to discover a pan-connector fitting a couple of meters down the drain. The big challenge was retrieving it!

Back to the van to pull out the Flexi-Drain-Retriever tool to send down the drain with the camera. Retrieving objects from drainpipes is like doing keyhole surgery- you can only see what you are doing on a monitor and it was very fiddly to get the claws of the grabber onto the fitting. After about half and hour, Bingo! Drain Ace managed to grab the pan connector and gingerly draw it back up and out of the drain. A huge sense of relief was felt at its recovery! The toilet was reconnected, tested and commissioned.

Blocked Drain cleared & unblocked on Fairmile Lane, Cobham

Arrived at the property find the toilet not flushing away, further investigation I discovered the blockage in the manhole on the drive. With the high pressure drain jetter running at a pressure of 200bar and a flow rate of 40 litres per second ,it made short work off clearing the blocked drain. Once the blocked drain in the manhole was cleared it allowed all the upstream sewage to flow out and restore the blocked toilet to a working loo again.
